John Slattery is the Fashion Director of Zoo Magazine for the United States. In his Three years with Zoo John has been the the Main Editor for the Music and Hollywood Issues Collaborating with such High Profile Names as Joss Stone, Pharrell, Panic at the Disco, Uffie, Cassie, Michelle Williams, Chloe Sevigny, Dustin Hoffman, Nick Stahl, Lukas Haas, Erika Christensen and many others. Zoo continues to grow in its popularity and has developed a Cult Presence in the Fashion World.
John recently served as a Contributiing Editor to Numero Magazine for the January'08 issue and will be working with the Magazine as a contributor for the coming year. He has also served as a Consultant and Stylist to Up and Coming New York Designer Thuy for the Spring '08 Season and will continue to serve in this position for Fall'08. He also recently served as the Stylist for the Lacoste Fragrance Campaign with Angela Lindval which will debut in Spring of 2008.
Johns Editorial work is best described as Contemporary Classic, referencing the trends of the season without dating himself by Fashions various whims. His affinity for the cutting edge designers of the industry such as Yohji Yamamoto, Junya Watanabe, Comme des Garcons and Veronique Leroy enable him to translate that work to a broader audience which is the foundation of his talent. He is a firm believer in substance over flash and in his work is known for a low key esthetic,allowing the image to be the focus.
