Katie Solomon was touted ‘Special Effects Expert’ by the Discovery Channel. Her extensive work in Film and Television has garnered a steady clientele not only in Toronto but also from Italy, Japan, China, Ireland, England, US, and Thailand.
Her passion for Makeup took Katie across the globe to Thailand for six months, where she worked with their top magazines such as Elle, Marie Claire, Madame Figaro and Cleo. Specializing in effects works, body painting and air-brushing and comfortable working in all formats including 16 & 32 mm, video, super-8, beta, digital and film stock, Katie looks forward to the newest challenge in HD.
What brought Katie to this career was the opportunity to do a job with a human connection, making those in her chair feel pampered and beautiful. Each day brings a new canvas with a different palette. From Deepa Metha to the cast of the O.C, Solomon’s work will continue to grace the faces of her many subjects for years to come.
