10 years ago Tami Noa packed her bags and got the hell out of the prairies. Perhaps it was all the open space and endless sky that drove her out of Alberta. With her sights set on building a city life in Toronto, she pursued higher learning at York University, taking down a solid Bachelor Degree in Fine Art. Only in the years to follow did she start developing her signature style. Unbelievable drips, hyperactive colour and an illustrative sensability. With a love of portraiture, her work began to shift, showing unexpected influences from the landscape she grew up feeling suffocated by.
You can find her working on regal animal portraits and listening to bearded men playing sweet acoustic prairie jams.
